A slight tweak in wattage or spectral output sounds like nothing on paper. But on the line? That’s how you end up with uneven heating, wonky wall thickness, or those annoying pearlescent streaks in your bottles. It’s a headache nobody needs. It’s More Than Just the Length
Matching the length of a lamp is the easy part. The real trick is the heat density. To get that same temperature rise, we dial in the voltage and wattage to hit the Sidel requirements on the nose. A Quick Reality Check
Now, here is the catch. Higher heat density can speed up your cycle times, but it puts a lot more stress on your reflectors. If your reflectors are pitted or oxidized, even the most perfect lamp in the world isn’t going to hit that target curve. Do yourself a favor: clean your reflectors while you’re swapping the lamps. That’s the only way to actually see the difference a matched thermal profile makes.
