That’s why we built our KSB 6000 replacements to just… fit. No modifications, no headaches. The heat side of things Here’s the thing about the KSB 6000: it relies on very specific wattage and voltage to get that PET preform to the right temperature. If the power density is off, you’re looking at cold spots or, worse, scorched plastic. It’s tempting to crank up the wattage to shave a few seconds off your cycle time, but don’t do it. You’ll likely stress out your power rails or ruin the preform wall. Also, a quick tip: check your cooling blowers. If they’re clogged with dust, they can’t handle the heat these lamps put out, and that’s a recipe for trouble. Built for the grind We use high-purity quartz glass because these things take a beating with rapid heating and cooling. We also added specialized coatings that push the infrared heat directly into the PET material instead of wasting it on the oven walls. And about the connectors—we used standard industrial interfaces that lock in tight. In a high-vibration blowing environment, loose connections lead to arcing, and arcing kills lamps. We wanted to make sure that doesn’t happen here. Getting them installed If you’re running Sidel or KOSME setups, these are direct swaps. You can slide them in during your regular maintenance window without having to fiddle with the reflectors. Since the length and pin spacing are exactly what they should be, it’s a simple plug-and-play deal. No custom brackets. No weird adapters.
