When you’re running PET blowing at high speeds, the thermal profile is everything. But here’s the real struggle with Husky HyPET systems: it’s not about how much heat you can throw at the preform. It’s about getting that heat deep into the center of the wall without frying the outside. That’s exactly why we built our lamps the way we did. Getting deep into the plastic Most standard lamps just bake the outer skin. You end up with that annoying pearlescence or walls that are thicker in some spots than others. We use a specific shortwave infrared spectrum to push the energy past the surface and into the inner layers. Because these tubes handle high power density, you don’t have to slow down your cycle times. You get a preform that’s perfectly pliable and ready for a clean stretch, every single time. Built to actually last These are simple drop-in replacements. No fuss. We use high-purity quartz glass because, let’s be honest, high-wattage loads chew through cheap materials. We also beefed up the connectors. High-speed machinery vibrates a lot, and the last thing you need is a loose contact or arcing at the terminals causing a shutdown. We also spent a lot of time on the filament geometry. By tightening the winding and tweaking the halogen cycle, we’ve created a focused beam. It cuts straight through the PET instead of just bouncing off the surface. A quick heads-up on your setup There is one thing to keep in mind. Since these lamps push more intensity to get that “deep soak,” they put a bit more pressure on your oven’s ventilation. Make sure your cooling blowers are clean and humming along. If your airflow is clogged, that extra heat density can spike the oven temp, and you risk warping your mandrels. We designed these for stability.
